Vulnerability Types
How is my child's personally identifiable information a security risk?
Personally identifiable information (PII) is data that can be used to identify, locate, or contact a specific individual. Examples include names, birth dates, addresses, social security numbers, and phone numbers. A child's PII is especially valuable to threat actors, as they can use it to open new credit accounts, take out loans, or incur medical charges — all without the parent's knowledge.
