Security questions used to authenticate identity may not be as secure as commonly assumed. One frequent security question asks for your father's middle name. Adversaries can easily find this answer by searching social media profiles or genealogy sites, then use it to steal your identity and access your accounts. Using a completely unrelated answer, or adopting a different form of authentication, is advisable.
